Chinese New Year is less than a month away. The morning market is now busy with aunties and uncles selling festive food and rare once-a-year delicious snacks. I learnt from mum that the price of these snacks have increased significantly compared to the year before. So to the benefit of our pockets, I am making this simple but pricey snacks. Boy, you will be surprised how well it turned out.
It may sound odd when egg and celery are put together in one sentence. Let's break the monotony with these two very versatile ingredients. Not just that, they are also very healthy and delicious. I have added a Thai twist to these ingredients, which are just perfect to eat with rice. Aromatic, tangy and a little spicy, just what we need on our comfort food days.

Spaghetti bolognese is one of the Italian's greatest inventions as it is not only easy to cook, but also delicious and healthy. As am not a big fan of Italian herbs, so I made some adjustments to this Italian dish with the ingredients easily found at the local markets where I live sans herbs and cheese.
It's weekend again and the cool weather makes it perfect to stay at home and snuggle in bed. While some of us can't snuggle in bed whole day, we can get our kids excited with a baking project. I am sharing a super easy foolproof cupcake idea for fun in the kitchen.
Since it's a long weekend, I am sharing a simple idea for party food. We know some of us like to host tea parties over long weekends sans vacation. I promise this is going to be the easiest party food ever and required no more than 5 ingredients to get the thumbs up from your party guests. Spring rolls are not just easy to make, also less messy for kids to eat while parents treat themselves to a good get-together.
Potato is a very common kitchen staple ingredient and it is easily found all year around. So common that we may even overstock them at home sometimes. Using only few ingredients and little effort, am sure you will set the party ready in a jiffy.
Two weeks ago, I share a meatball porridge recipe after trying it myself . Boy, it became an instant favorite! So the following weekend, I attempted another porridge and it too, became a new entry in my family's please-cook-again list. One may ask, why porridge every Sunday? The answer is pretty simple, I want everyone at home to enjoy a wholesome healthy dinner whilst I get my fair share no-fuss cooking, porridge fits the bill, perfectly. Since I was able to buy fresh prawns (shrimps) from the market, so it was really a no-brainer to cook porridge.
It's been more than a week now since my last post. Been extremely busy with spring cleaning. Yes, although I have tried some new recipes at home but am sharing one for now. It's a very simple toasted baguette. Sounds easy, right? But I have tried more than 5 times before making the perfect toasted baguette. Pair it with a nice warm thick mushroom soup or simply dip it with a bowl of tangy tomato soup. Or... coarsely crush them to go with your favorite salad. I guarantee it won't disappoint.
